The Monks Well Pub

The Abbey room or simply, the front bar is our newly renovated warm and cosy pub, with a warm stove for those cold nights, good craic and cold pints, and maybe even a trad session on those lazy Sunday evenings.  Reserve a table or a snug for up to 10 people events@themonkswell.ie

The Monks Well pub has been renovated to be a community focused pub, serving fundraisers for organisations in the locality and beyond. With state of the art AV equipment, PA's, and lighting, we can cater for anything from table quizzes, karaoke, to casino nights and more.  

In a tight knit community, if the The Monks Pantry isn't where your friends gather, the pub surely is. We believe that meeting in a pub shouldn't automatically involve alcohol, in fact we have the most diverse range of non-alcoholic options we have ever seen or heard of. Aside from Guinness 0.0 and Heineken Zero on draught, a wide range of non-alcoholic bottled beers, gins and soft drinks, we have our own range of isotonic, electrolytes, vitamin infused, health drinks prepared on site to your preferred strength. No more gallons of mi-wadi during the championship season or the weeks before your 10k, marathon, cycle, or welly throwing tournament!

The Ballykilty lounge or simply the back bar, is where the fun happens. This lively area can host parties and groups of all shapes and sizes. Live bands will get the party going and direct access to the beer garden (The Monks Courtyard) allows the fun to spill over to the quirky outdoor areas. Being a pub in the centre of Quin village, it's very important to us to be able to cater for all. With step free access at the side, dedicated accessible parking, toilets and dedicated wheelchair tables inside and out with QR code ordering,  as well as a diverse and unusual range of non-alcoholic beverages to cater for the "Drivers and Athletes" among us we hope that everyone, old and young, feel welcome at The Monks Well. 

The Monks Pantry's very own Greg Glappa is renowned for his culinary skills, and his favourite genre of food is events and BBQ catering. Hailing from a family of chefs and butchers, his speciality is pig on spit, and BBQs, and loves preparing unusual savoury finger food. Greg offers a wide range of party options as well as special event catering to all events in the Monks Well and in the Monks Courtyard.
